When I give out advice, it’s easy for me to tell people to do what I do.
However, doing what I do might be completely wrong for you and your life.
The beauty of life is that we all have different journeys.
Your morning might be filled with the noise of kids and family responsibilities.
My morning is usually up early, no one about, meditation and journaling.
Tell a dad of 3 to do that when he is in bed late and needs every minute of precious sleep.
Firstly, you have to want to change.
If you don’t want to change and have a reason big enough why then you wont ever change.
If you aren’t able to do what I tell you then you have to make the change relevant to your lifestyle.
Some people have no chance of finding any time at all in the morning, you might have to find time at night.
I can take a horse to water but I can’t make it drink.
No matter what anyone tells you, you have to make the change.
The best advice in the world is useless if you don’t apply yourself.
You have to look at your life right now.
What are you not happy with?
What frustrates you?
Do you hate the way your body looks? The spare tyre getting bigger and bigger?
Something has to change, and that thing is you and your routine.
If you have no time to get to the gym but you sit on your ass at night watching TV for 1 hour then your lying to yourself.
You could easily use 30 of those minutes to stretch, run or workout at home.
It doesn’t have to be the worlds best workout, it just has to be better than what you are doing now.
Too many guys look for the most complex and difficult solution to their problem.
Why would you want to make it harder than it needs to be?
It’s already difficult, otherwise you wouldn’t be in the position you’re in.
Simplicity is the key to any goal.
Most of your idols or role models don’t do anything special.
Ever found yourself saying “I could do that”?
You can do anything you want, you just have to start small and progress from there.
By starting small, you can get a few small wins under your belt.
Those wins are more than that 1 hardcore workout you did or that 1 perfect days food.
Momentum starts with 1 good meal, taking the stairs, swapping the Coca Cola for water.
Nothing seems like a big win at first but that’s not the point.
Big wins come after lots of small wins.
Using an app like Habit Share to track your wins helps massively. You can customise it to suit your habits and goals and make it as simple as you like.
